Retirement is more than financial security

It's a time to leave a legacy of Faith...

After decades of work, retirement is often viewed as the light at the end of the tunnel. It’s a time for fulfilling lifelong dreams, but the uncertainty of what lies ahead can be daunting, leaving you to question if you are ready. For some, retirement is a time to pull back and drift through their final years. But you’ve worked too hard to establish a legacy just to let it go on autopilot. Instead, before you decide it’s time to go, let’s create a plan that ensures you Finish Well by:

  • Focusing on what truly matters and where you can best use your gifts,
  • Leaving an empowered and prepared team to continue a culture of faith even in a secular environment,
  • Realizing your God-given purpose and leaning into where He needs you in this season, and
  • Ensuring a life of meaning, peace, and fulfillment whether you stay for a while or you move on.

ARE YOU READY TO LIVE YOUR MORE?

I thought retirment was the answer...

I was stressed out and overwhelmed.

I had checked off all the boxes, a job I loved, great relationships, and a beautiful home, but it wasn’t enough. I was stressed and overwhelmed, and I wasn’t content with life. I was trying to fix all the challenges in my own power and didn’t realize that God had an entirely different plan for me. If only I had known then what I know now…

I felt like something was Missing. My soul longed for MORE.
I needed to shift my life and align with God. My soul longed for Order.

It felt like failure.

In my search for MORE, I retired from my career in housing to become a coach, taking all the “right” steps to be successful. Even though I had become certified as a master coach with training from some of the best in the industry, nothing was working. So I worked harder, put in more hours, and took more courses. I didn’t know until much later that God was testing my faith to see if I truly trusted Him. He wanted to see if I was willing to step out in absolute faith and stop relying on worldly measures of success.  God had a plan. I just couldn’t see it yet.

I was focused on the wrong things.

But I wasn’t ready to give up. I knew in my heart that God had given me a promise, and He wouldn’t let me down. I turned to His Word. In the past, He’d always been there for me in times of trouble, and I desperately needed the peace only He could bring me. As I searched the Scriptures, I saw that I was focusing on all the wrong things. That the world’s twisted view of success had little to do with true success in life.  That’s when everything shifted, and I began to align with God’s will and look for opportunities to show others how they could, too.

Once I Redefined my priorities and connect with Jesus, I found my true purpose.
After I stepped through the door, and began to see my Eternal purpose.

My new perspective changed everything!

I realized that my life’s seemingly random and sometimes difficult events all had a purpose, that all my trials, missteps, and unsuccessful ventures were not wasted. All could be used to fulfill my God-given purpose. Once I redefined my priorities and started living the life my soul longed for, I felt the peace and fulfillment that had been missing. I saw how this knowledge could have changed how I approached retirement; how I could have been enjoying this, the best, season with grace and ease instead of striving and frustration.

With God as my partner and CEO, we wrote two books, A Different Viewand Equipped for More, created two podcasts, and started a speaking and facilitating career.  Only then did God show me it was time to return to my first venture and true calling, coaching others to the path He has for them.

As someone who is near retirement, you, too, need to learn how to ‘Live Your More’ so you can live the life your souls long for and fulfill YOUR God-given purpose.

If you are here, you are being called to live the life God created you to live, but you don't have to do it alone.
