We are all created with a purpose.  God had a plan for each one of our lives before we were born.  We get to chose our career, our spouse, and what we do with our days, but he gets to chose why we are here.  To discover what that purpose is, we need to seek God’s word.  We won’t find it in the wisdom of the world, in fact, the wisdom of the world is designed to take us as far away from our purpose as possible.

I’ve been searching for my purpose for a very long time and once I finally allowed myself space in my life to listen, I began to hear the little voice calling to me.  It’s been a journey that began in earnest a few years ago.  I share bits of the journey in my very first episode (Answering God’s Call) of my podcast named, Reviving Your Soul (Now Longing for More) that I released this week.  I tell about the struggles I encountered that all came together to bring me to this place.  I tell about how I resisted the direction I should go and how I began living my life on purpose.  

As a coach, I help people embrace their faith, live the life their soul is longing for, and become a better version of themselves each day.  My intention in the podcast is to help my listeners to open their hearts up to the idea that God calls us to live out our purpose and to live in integrity with our values.  So many things keep us from doing that.  We get too busy, we are afraid of what people will think if we do what we really want to do.  We don’t want to risk taking a chance so we just keep doing what we’ve always done, even if it’s painful.  In this first episode, I share the parable of the talents from Matthew chapter 25 where we learn that God expects us to use the talents and abilities he has given us.
